Lhasa is the capital city of Tibet. It is the holy land of the Tibetan Sect of Buddhism with nearly 1,400 years old, is the birthplace of Yibetan Buddhism. According to Tibetan Buddhism, “Lha” means “God”. Thus the meaning of the word “Lhasa” should be the “place of God”.

Today you can visit the four major Buddhist monasteries, and listen to Khenpo’s lectures. You can enjoy the most compelling Sacred mountain and lake, Nian Qing Tong Gula Mountains and Nam Co Lake. You can soak in a hot spring, Yangbajing, it is the highest geothermal spring in the the world. Finally arrive Lhasa! This section has the most beautiful scenery in the part of the northern Tibet.

Today we will climb a mountain, called Quer Mountain. It is the highest and most dangerous mountain in the Sichuan-Tibet line. And I finally understand why Tibet’s road called sky road…

This is today’s route: Danba-Xinduqiao-Daofu-Luhuo-Ganzi. You can visit the famous Daofu residential. You will arrive the junction of Sichuan, Qinghai and Tibet provinces, Ganzi, it is an important goods and materials distribution center.
